Dottore in golosità, Emmanuel Giraud is a graduate of Du Fresnoy Studio National des Arts Contemporains, and a former artist-in-residence at the Villa Médicis. He suffered his first gout attack at the age of thirty, something in which he takes a burning and unshakeable pride. In his quest for beautiful things, fine things, fatty, juicy, steaming, crispy and voluptuous things, he explores the theme of culinary memory through texts, performances, video and sound installations. He also works as a journalist for numerous magazines, and publishes texts in a broad range of licentious reviews.

Dottore in golosità, Emmanuel Giraud est diplômé du Studio national des arts contemporains Du Fresnoy et ancien pensionnaire de la Villa Médicis. Sa première crise de goutte est apparue à l’âge de trente ans ; il en retire une fierté cuisante mais inébranlable. Dans sa quête du beau, du bon, du gras, du juteux, du fumant, du croustillant et du voluptueux, il explore le thème du souvenir culinaire par le biais de textes, de performances, de vidéos et d’installations sonores. Il est également journaliste pour différents magazines de presse écrite et publie des textes dans diverses revues licencieuses.
