Donal Ryan is from
Nenagh in Co. Tipperary. He lives in Limerick with his
wife Anne Marie and their children, Thomas and Lucy. He
won Best Newcomer and overall Book of the Year at the
Irish Book Awards in 2012 for his debut novel, The
Spinning Heart. It was long-listed for the 2013 Man
Booker Prize and won the Guardian First Book Award. His
second novel, The Thing About December, was
published on October 24, 2013. |

Donal
