Doireann Ní Ghríofa

Doireann Ní Ghríofa is a poet, essayist, and bilingual translator in English and Irish. Her prose début A Ghost in the Throat won the James Tait Black Prize and Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards, while the US edition was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and a New York Times Notable Book. Doireann is also author of six books of poetry, exploring the themes of birth, death, desire, and domesticity.

Doireann Ní Ghríofa est poétesse, essayiste et traductrice bilingue anglaise et irlandaise. Sa première oeuvre en prose, A Ghost in the Throat a remporté le Prix James Tait Black et a été élu livre de l’année aux Irish Book Awards. Aux États-Unis, il a été sélectionné parmi les finalistes du National Book Critics Circle Award, et parmi les « livres remarquables » du New York Times. Doireann est également l’autrice de six recueils de poésie, explorant les thèmes de la naissance et de la mort, du désir et de la vie domestique.
