Frédéric Beigbeder, born on 21 September 1965 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, is a French writer, literary critic and film director. He founded the Prix de Flore in 1994 and chairs its panel. He is also the editorial director of Lui magazine. Beigbeder won the Prix Interallié in 2003 for Windows on the World, and the Prix Renaudot in 2009 for Un roman français. An essayist, scriptwriter and editor, he has also directed two films, the second of which, L’Idéal, is an adaptation of his novel Au secours, pardon, presented at the Franco-Irish Literary Festival this year.

Frédéric Beigbeder, né le 21 septembre 1965 à Neuilly-sur-Seine, est un écrivain, critique littéraire et réalisateur français. Il est le fondateur du prix de Flore (1994), dont il préside le jury. Il est également directeur de la rédaction du magazine Lui. Il a obtenu en 2003 le prix Interallié pour Windows on the World et en 2009, le prix Renaudot pour son livre Un roman français. Il est également auteur de plusieurs essais, scénariste, édi­teur, et réalisateur de deux films, dont le dernier, L’Idéal, est une adaptation de son roman Au secours, pardon, présenté au Festival Littéraire Franco-Irlandais cette année.
