After teaching Spanish to high-school students for 13 years, Michèle Gazier worked as a literary critic for 25 years, first for the newspaper Libération, then at Télérama. She translated the work of a number of Spanish writers into French, introducing them to a wider French audience, including Juan Marsé and Manuel Vazquez Montalban, as well as many others. She has written more than a dozen novels and short stories, as well as several works on art and literature, including the script and dialogue of a graphic novel based on Virginia Woolf (2011). She is co-director of the publishing firm Editions des Busclats.

Après avoir enseigné l’espagnol en lycée durant 13 ans, Michèle Gazier a été chroniqueur littéraire pendant 25 ans, d’abord au journal Libération puis à Télérama. Elle a fait connaître, et traduit en français des écrivains espagnols comme Juan Marsé et Manuel Vazquez Mon­talban. Elle a également traduit une douzaine d’ouvrages. Elle est l’auteur d’une quinzaine de romans et nouvelles, ainsi que de plusieurs ouvrages sur l’art et la littérature, dont le scénario et les bulles d’une BD sur Virginia Woolf (2011). Elle codirige les éditions des Busclats.
